The new clean scent makes me sick - literally

I'd like to start by saying that I always use, and have loved, Dawn Original Scent dishwashing liquid. I suffer from migraines triggered by fragrance and have an almost entirely fragrance free household (deodorants, lotions, hair care, etc) with a few mildly fragranced products. Dawn Original Scent was never an issue. I did not even realize I was buying a different or new scent, I was simply assaulted by it when I went to refill my dish soap pump and double checked the bottle to see it is now "NEW CLEAN SCENT". It is awful, strong-scented and triggered nausea and a migraine immediately. I have to discard of it and try something else as I cannot find the original back in stock anywhere yet. I find it hard to believe that they didn't run consumer tests for this scent before rolling it out. I think of the dawn commercial where they are cleaning off adorable little oil spill covered ducks and saving their lives with their gentle grease fighting power and I cannot imagine those poor sweet ducks subjected to this horrible strong artificial smell. I want the Dawn Original Scent back. I do not need my dishes to smell extra perfumey to be clean, or my cleaner to even be blue - I just need it to clean really well, which Dawn Original always has!

Bring back the old scent!! This is horrible!!

I hate the new overpowering scent! It's horrible for those with allergies and sensitivities to scents and chemicals!! Bring back the old scent!!! ..Please!!! !! .You're going to lose a whole lot of chemical/scent sensitive customers who can't tolerate that powerfully strong scent!!

New smell is horrible

The new smell turns my stomach. It's so perfume smelling. I now smell my freshly washed glasses and plates before use to be sure the smell is gone. It is not a beauty product. I fail to see how you can claim it's a "clean" smell. It's anyting but. I would not use this even if you gave me a lifetime supply for free. It's repulsive. Go back to how it was. It wasn't broke it was the smell we expect of Dawn.

Because preferences can vary from person to person, we offer a variety of dish soap versions and scents, including a Free & Clear Fragrance Free option. As well, our products undergo stringent quality controls to ensure performance and safety. When the soap scent lingers on your dishes, there could be a few potential causes for this happening. Over time, dish soap buildup can accumulate on dishes. Also, if you have hard water, it can interfere with the effectiveness of the soap and leave behind residue (using a water filter may help). For best results, add about 2 tablespoons of dish soap to the sink, then add water that’s 105-115°F. We don't recommend leaving to soak long term, but to wash promptly, and rinse the dishes thoroughly with clean water.
