The recordings on this CD took over a year and a half to complete. The nucleus of the band was a reunion of sorts being that majority of the musicians where alumni of Berklee College of Music who had gone onto greater musical heights backing jazz legends and others such as Ramsey Lewis, George Benson, Pat Martino, Benny Golson, Gerald Albright, singers Billy Paul, Ledesi, Lou Rawls to name just a few. The other talented musicians on this CD worked with a who's who in the entertainment world as well from Bill Cosby, Roberta Flack, Bob James, etc. The premise in the all original music was to play light spirited jazz with elements from other musical genres, such as world, classical, r&b, and rock. Employing the Philadelphia areas best recording engineers and mixers would assure that the sonic quality would capture the best possible performance. I hope you have as much fun listening to this as we had making this because we think you will hear this in the sound.
