I had the privilege of reading The Gracious Woman and it was life changing for me. I have been in church all my life and considered myself to be a gracious woman. Christi Le Fevre has a way of writing that makes you stop and think. Her openness about her own experiences makes her so relatable. Throughout the entire book, I kept saying I did that too! I have said that too! I've thought that too! I've acted or re-acted that way too! This book taught me that being a Gracious Woman does not make me weak. Changing my way of thinking after reading this book has made me stronger. At the end of every chapter there is a section called Gracious Points to Ponder. It is like having a workbook inside of the book. Each chapter on its own would make a great Bible study or lesson.
Something about this book really sticks with you. I find myself remembering exact phrases from this book as I encounter everyday situations. I ask myself What would the Gracious Woman do in this situation?. Thinking and acting like a Gracious Woman has given me far greater results than the old me that had to feel in control all the time.
I am thankful to the author, Christi Le Fever, for sharing her journey with us. It gives me hope that as I let go of the way the world defines a strong woman and start letting God define it for me like she did, I will become successful too!
