As a single parent, I've assembled many things in my house, from a table, to a bookcase, even my daughters bunk bed, in the 90s. So now in my 50s, I'm still single and still assembling things I want or need. But having suffered a stroke that unfortunately still affects me, it took me longer than I would have liked to assemble this. I made sure to use the instructions because I did not want to have to unassemble any parts. All pieces and screws were there and once I was done, I loved it. Although it said you don't need a box spring but I like my beds to sit a tab bit high so having tried just the mattress, it was too low and therefore, I opted to add a box spring.
