Lightweight and functional, great to prevent minor head bumps and a whole lot of scratches on the noggin. Primarily I wear these when working in a crawl space attics to avoid nails. strapping, beams, etc.. to the head region. It is fairly pliable though so if you plan to strap a head lamp to it, take it off after use otherwise it will warp the shape.
