Great for hiking and walking. They wick moisture and are lightweight. The picture is misleading as other reviewers noted. The bottoms are not tight to the ankle. These are boot cut legs. Which are great for over hiking boots or sneakers. The large fits me perfect. I am 5' 4” and 138 lbs. They fit like a glove. Very stretchy and comfortable material.
