tankless water heater

This is the second Eccotemp tankless that I've bought. I purchased the first one 2 years ago and wish I would have known then what I know now. The first one was a manual, meaning you have to adjust the unit to different temps for different uses i.e. shower, dishes, laundry etc., and descaling the appliance every 6 months. The most recent purchase is an automatic, which means I can regulate my shower to a comfortable temp without changing the setting on the unit, and the water will still be hot enough to do dishes. Am very pleased with the new one.

Works Great

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Bought this to replace my leaking hot water tank. Unit seemed correct size for my wife and I in our empty nest home. Arrived 3 days sooner than expected delivery date. Straight forward to install. Well written installation guide. The included exhaust vent kit makes a nice clean installation on the outside of the house. Unit is silent, quieter than the burner in my old water heater. unit starts 2 seconds after faucet turned on. No noticeable time lag at the furthest hot water faucet. Tiny dishwasher flow is enough to trigger the unit to start. Simple to operate, I set mine at 140F. Water temp seems accurate on the unit (see photo). My wife loves all the space reclaimed in the laundry room where the old water heater was. I also like the availability of parts from the manufactures website in the US should I ever need to repair the unit. I'm only giving it 4 stars because time will tell about its reliability.
