I had my doubts initially, but it ended up doing the job well. I had some discolored/stained areas on the underlying leather areas, which I was able to dab additional layers of paint onto until they no longer caught my eye. I was happy to discover that the application of the paint was a very forgiving process. I even added drips of another color in order to get closer to the color of my existing leather piece. I did find that the color-sample-square displayed at the website was a more accurate indication of the actual color than color of the paint that shows in the picture of the bottle.
