The Mirage Deluxe Trumpet with Case is an outstanding option for students. It features a third valve slide ring to reach low notes and a 5" bell for quality sounds. This lacquered trumpet is made of brass and polished for an attractive shine. Nickel silver accents add contrast to the design to help it stand out on stage. The Mirage trumpet includes a mouthpiece, a polishing cloth to keep the polished brass looking like new and shoulder straps for convenient carrying. The case protects the unit from damage and allows you to store it away with peace of mind. The case is the worst thing about my purchase for my 11yr old daughter. I recommend to buy a different case because is a very soft case not a hard case that came with my purchase, if you want the Trumpet to last all school year puting it in and out of lockers, vehicles, and rain.

This horn isn't worth the brass it is made with. Save your money, but a good used Yamaha or Back. Even a King or Conn will work. The valves are notoriously unaligned and poor quality. It your child wants to play, this is a good toy, not a beginning instrument. I bought it as a joke gift for another musician of mine, it was not even woth the joke.
