When the printer started acting up a few weeks ago, I'd fiddle with it and get it going. But, it progressively became harder to start. I had purchased the HP printer on a Black Friday sale from QVC about 3 years ago and paid under $100 for it. Because I have over $100 in matching inks, I wanted the same printer. Went online and GULP, most were selling in the $300 Plus range. NOOOO!! I told my sister that it just needed a new power supply cord and I doubted if that costs much. Well, this did the trick. Works like new now. I also purchased a new USB printer cable. Not because it was damaged, but because I thought for $6.99 I may as well have a new USB cable, too. So, for about $16.00 plus tax, the machine is running like new and I can still use my supply of ink. I might add that my machine gets a daily workout, but I ALWAYS keep a material dust cover over it, when not in use. When I was an avionics tech, I saw a lot of damage done by heavy dust, soil and the number one problem, (cigarette smoke). Yes, I know smokers don't want to hear that, but smokers in the cockpit cause more damage to avionics than anything else. It causes an oily residue buildup that is horrific. You may not think it doesn't hurt you, but if it affects electronics, then trust me. It affects you, too. So, if you need a good replacement power cord, don't hesitate. You can certainly buy more expensive ones, but this fits all the qualifications for a good cable. It's well made, fits snugly and does what it's supposed to do. It came quickly and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again. Time is Precious. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.
