It plays a high quality Sankyo music mechanism that can be seen on the inside of the box through protective glass. It plays the tune You Are My Sunshine. It has a 4x6 photo frame lid so the picture can be exchange for a personal photo. The feet are cushioned so they don't scratch surfaces. The box has a 4x4x1.5 inch cavity for storing jewelry and keepsakes. The inside is lined in nice black velvet.
