Stirring frequently, cook on medium heat until gravy comes to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 minute. ( Gravy will thicken upon standing.) **Microwave Directions **1. Stir water into a Gravy Mix in 1 1/2-quart microwavable bowl. **2. Microwave on High 2 to 3 minutes or until thickened, stirring after each minute. Microwave obens vary; cook time is approximate. **Must be cooked for food safety. **Kitchen Tips **Serve over mashed potatoes, beef, meat loaf, hot meat sandwiches or noodles. **Homestyle Brown Gravy: Use 1/4 cup beef pan drippings and 3/4 cup water to prepare gravy.

McCormick lower sodium brown gravy yum
This evening I had the opportunity to try the McCormick 30% less sodium brown gravy. Being a long time fan of McCormick brand as a staple for spices in my household, I have tried the regular brown gravy which I like, but I think I like the lower sodium better. The rest of the family enjoyed it as well. The flavor was still rich but but it had the perfect amount of salt and was not too salty. I will be buying the lower sodium one in the future.

Same great taste now with less sodium
I am always looking for ways to make a family dinner healthier. Swapping out normal brown gravy for this packet with less sodium worked like a charm. Meatballs in gravy with mashed potatoes and corn- perfect! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
