This thermoelectric cooler doesnt cool like a refigerator, but keeps everything cold without ice. The compact size fits perfectly between my two 2nd row captain's chairs and runs on ac or dc in the car or outside. it is substatially made and hols 12 cans of soda easily. Two power cords, no bulky transformer to run on dual power sources. Warms as well, but havent used it in this mode on a trip.
