Tillandsia Air Plants for Your Home or Business Air plants are easy-care house plants in the genus Tillandsia. Air plants are unique because they do not need soil to grow. They are epiphyte plants native to Central and South America. They only need light, water and air to survive. They are great for small spaces, as accents, home decor or party favors. Our favorite plants include Xerographica, Streptophylla, Harrisii, Ionantha Mexico and Caput Medusae. The options are unlimited – Tillandsia can stand alone or pair with an accessory such as a terrarium, ceramic hanger, cork bark, driftwood, and more! Air plants also make great gifts – They are the gift that keeps giving! Air plants reproduce by producing offsets or “pups” from the base of the plant after they show off their spectacular bloom.
