Great Buffet with Hutch
I recently inherited a 12-person china set and I needed a place to store and display the pieces, so I ordered this buffet with hutch. I love it. It arrived within 3 days of ordering in a few boxes. I was able to set the whole thing up by myself in a few hours with little difficulty even though my dog decided to help out a bit. The directions were fairly straight forward and easy to follow. All of the hardware and pieces were labeled. This is made of a mix of particle board and wood. I was able to screw cup holder hooks into the top to hang some of the cups (why there were over 20 tea cups in my set when there are only 12 saucers, I will never know). As a note to anyone who buys this: make sure the buffet is level (adjust by turning the levels on the feet) BEFORE attaching the hutch, otherwise the top will lean. My husband had to carefully tilt it so that I could adjust it before securing it to the wall. My bad - it's not mentioned in the instructions.

Better than expected
You'd be better off having a friend help you. Instructions are clear but it will take a few hours to put together. We did the buffet one day and the hutch the next. The buffet will take much longer (4-5 hours for us) to complete. Got the 42 inch round pedestal table and 4 chairs to match and it looks great. The hutch is solid and heavy. How it will wear I do not know since we've only had it for a couple weeks. The boxes were damaged when arrived but there's loads of packing so nothing was damaged. Overall we're very pleased with our purchase, so far.

On first thought, $390 for a hutch seems a bit, well low priced for a quality piece of furniture. But I'm after look and function with "decent enough" being the ideal search. I was blown away when we got this. First off, it's 100% solid. It's really all there, and not some filler board that breaks after 6 months. The counter piece is solid, polished, and smooth. The doors open and close easily. The shelving is functional with several spots up or down to move them. All in all, my expectations were exceeded 1000x over. This is one of those things you have to get if you are looking for a great hutch without spending a grand + on it. It easily competes!
