Cool machine

I've had this about half a week now and I'm really like it. I live in a studio apartment with a very small refrigerator. The freezer section is very small and no room for ice. If the unit has set for a while, the first batch of ice takes about a half hour. After that, it spits out ice every 15 minutes or so. I have it set to add 4 minutes to the ice cycle to make the largest cubes possible. Any larger and they would be harder to break apart. Last night I shut the unit off with a full tray of ice at about midnight. No need it continuing to make ice through the night as the old ice melts. This morning, I turned it back on about 10 am and there were still a few cubes in the bottom of the tray. PROS: Makes great ice, just like you would get in a commercial ice machine. Not very loud but you can hear it humming along from across the room. It is very cool to watch the ice being formed. Holds a decent amount of ice when full. About enough for 4 or 5 normal size glasses.

Efficient , quiet and fast.

It set up easy. The ice tastes great. I used bottled crystal geyser. I can make a gallon size ziplock in a couple hours. I have it on the thicker ice . 1st cubes take about 12 minutes. They do not come out frozen solid. It makes ice It is not a freezer. I drop them in a ziploc and out in freezer right away. Just add to it. Stays very fresh in my freezer about 3 days before starts to burn. We are really pleased. We have a well with high iron and our water is drinkable but has aftertaste and so did the cubes from my refrigerator. I use this now instead. It is quite a bit more quiet than my refrigerator.
