I bought these to replace a pair of summer shoes that I had worn out. I planned on wearing them sockless and went on about a mile hike that way the first day they came. Yep, got a blister, but that was all. I wore ‘em with socks for a day or two and then shed ‘em. WOW! What a nice pair of sneakers! They feel great without socks! The selling point for me though—WATERPROOF. I've been wearing the hound out of these sneakers, and they're holding up wonderfully; they're my new favorites, so much so that I wear them just about daily.
