Awful smell that won't go away. I love the idea of this item. The nesting quality is great for storage. They look and feel nice BUT there is an awful chemical smell to it from the silicone that just won't go away. I had forgotten about this characteristic of this material when I chose this. In the past I had a silicone water bottle that smelled exactly the same and no amount of baking soda, vinegar or time helped ease the awful smell. I couldn't use my water bottle for long. And now that I'm thinking that this will affect the taste of the food I put in these containers the more I wish I had just stuck with glass. Going to return these.
