I buy these particular eggs for two reasons related to delivery: their shells are thicker and sturdier than most white shelled eggs so they don't break easily, and the rigid plastic carton protects them from breakage where softer foam cartons will not. I bought the standard white eggs in foam cartons for years, some from Walmart, (but most from local groceries), but for the last few years I found each store carton would have one or more shells cracked. After replacing them at the counter, and handling them very carefully myself (especially when the prices got so high this past year), I still found one or more of the thin, fragile white shelled eggs. cracked during the trip from the register to my fridge. When I discovered these harder shelled brown eggs in the rigid containers, I was willing to pay a bit more for them to avoid waste. Some weeks these cost LESS than the white shelled eggs in foam!! When Walmart delivery from the store became available to me I definitely found these superior. Walmart delivery persons are careful, but I still think eggs would be difficult to protect amid other customers' delivery sacks, and depositing my sacks on my concrete porch. Not one single egg has cracked when I ordered these particular eggs for delivery. Added to this wonderful convenience and savings from waste, which makes them a better bargain in the long run, I find the yolks are richer and deeper in other color, the sizing is generous (some other white shelled brands seem to consistently run smaller than the size labeled), the flavor is excellent and they stay fresh in the fridge a long time. These are worth the price.

This product worked so well I bought a second one for another work desk of mine. I work from home and often get cold feet that slippers don't help with. The top covering doesn't have heating elements, but it is thick enough that it traps the heat in and keeps my feet nice and warm. Great product!
