Polkaudio Atrium 5 outdoor speakers

Purchased these speakers on our deck/pool to replace my Polkaudio 200 patio speakers (which I put in our gameroom to replace Bose 301s'). Sound quality and performance of both speaker systems far exceed all expectations and reviews I have read. Superior products, attention to detail and quality not readily found in todays' market.

Astonishing sound!

Bought a pair of Atrium 5 for my 70 square meters - 750 square feet) patio terrace. Placed them at some 2.5 meters high (8.2 feet) facing each other on a brick wall. Here are the pros and the cons: Pros: 1. These are rated at 100 watt, 8 ohms, you can hear the music pumping (pumping real good). Fabulous bass. 2. Size. DISCRETE!!!! They are not as big as Klipsch ones, or even the Boses 251 (really heavy) but they give the same or better sound quality 3. LIGHTWEIGHT!!! I'ts weight wont ruin your wall if you have drywall instalations. My music taste ranges from Rolling Stones to Dire Straits with Alice Cooper, Linkin Skynrd, Queen, AC/DC in between. My wife and kids goes from Celia Cruz, Ray Barreto, Miguel Bose, Marc Anthony and Willy Colon all the way up to Pitbull, Shakira and Aviccii stuff. Cons: Up to now, NONE.

Great Speaker

I bought these speakers 13yrs ago and installed them in the cockpit under the rear rail seats of the sailboat. Talk about an ugly environment. They sound great. Never a problem. Love them. Put a second set in the salon cabin. Overkill? Of course. Went to order speakers for the outside covered patio recently and accidently order the Atruim 4. Not even close. They sound like I forgot to take them out of the box before installing them. Just ordered the Atruim 6 to replace the 4's. Overkill? Hope so. If you are looking of some nondescript background music sound then Atrium 4's are going to do just fine. I you want good separation and notice the difference in the sound (some people don't really notice, can you believe that) then up grade at least to the Atruim 5's or higher. My 13years old ones are like tanks, in a good way, and going strong.
