Refrigerator Icing Repair Kit faulty

I bought the WR49X10021 Refrigerator Icing Repair Kit as I was having problems with defrosting every few months on my Monogram refrigerator. After installation, as soon as the defrost cycle starts, our differential circuit breaker jumps and turns off electricity. Heated tray is properly grounded. Part probably faulty. I tested by re-installing the old part and it works

Hi there, We're awfully sorry to hear that your icing repair kit was tripping your circuit breaker and can understand how aggravating that is. We'll make sure the development team is aware of this issue. Thanks for being part of the GE family. Mike@GEA
