Expert Grill 1-Burner Tabletop Propane Gas Griddle

I've been wanting one of these for so long. I like to do vegetable stir-frys every now and then and can't do it on my grill without a grill basket. And then you still don't get a contact heat sear. This griddle is perfect for stir-frys, as well as fish. I used it for Christmas morning breakfast bacon and sausage links. It worked perfect. It fired right up. It's kind of mesmerizing to watch the flame go around the gas heating element when you first light it up. It has an adjuster knob to control the flame and amount of heat. I like that the perimeter ridges are higher than a normal griddle. The only bummer about it is, you lose cooking space the width of the grease cup all the way across. There's no heating element under there. Even though it's cast iron, you would think there would be enough residual heat in that three or four inches but not enough to put a sear on a sausage link. I had sausage down in that area next to the grease cup and it would not heat up so I had to move it up. So you do lose some cooking space, but it's not that big of a deal because sometimes things cook faster than others and you can move them down into the area while the rest cooks. It takes a 1 lb propane tank. I was finally able to get one but I guess they're only good for about 2 hours of cooking so I ended up buying an adapter hose so I could use my larger propane tank that I have for my gas grill. It's winter now so I will use the small tanks for inside use but as it gets warmer out, I will bring it outside and hook up to my larger one. This is great to have on hand if you ever lose power and are like me and don't have a gas stove.

Love this little grill. The price was very reasonable and this little grill is perfect for tailgating.
