Given the fact that Jackie Wilson was widely held to be one of the greatest live performers of all, it is surprising that he recorded only one live album during the course of his career. Perhaps you had to be present to fully appreciate what Jackie Wilson attempted and accomplished when performing live, but this album goes some way to providing a glimpse of the magic and excitement that he generated time and time again. Recorded at the Copacabana in 1962, this album features medleys of some of his best known songs (up to that point), including to Be Loved and Lonely Teardrops, although Reet Petite is conspicuous by it's absence. That omission aside, the album showcases his vocal prowess to perfection.
