Great design but it does not keep food hot

I was really excited for this product, it came in, I like the way it was designed, I could easily get the top off, and it was nice and big for soups. however after multiple attempts this product would not keep food hot. I was very disappointed because I was excited from the look and the way it functioned but it just wouldn't keep food even warm.
