Excellent EV Charger for Home & Travel

The J+Booster 2 is an exceptionally nice EV charger option. The charger comes with both 120v & 240v power supply adapter cords in a good carrying case along with a wall mount unit, making it ideal for home as well as travel use! The J+Booster 2 is a very well made unit with great attention to detail. For example, to connect the wall socket plug piece to the charger itself, you simply align the red dots on each piece and press together until you hear a click. To separate the pieces, simply pull back on the adapter ring of the one piece and pull the two pieces apart. Protective caps are provided for every connector to keep dust and dirt free. Even the design of the caps shows attention to detail, as the caps each have ridged "grips" on either side so that they are easy to remove even with wet or oily/greasy hands. Using the charger itself is easy. After connecting the appropriate electrical connection plug to the charger, you plug that into an electrical outlet, then connect the business end of the charger to your EV. The charger has a large round button for making selections, and the bright LED shows the selection made. As you can see from the pictures, the J+Booster 2 connected without any issues to a golf cart, as well as to road vehicles. The travel case makes this an ideal charger for roadtrips where you may have to charge your EV at a hotel or the residence of someone you are visiting. All-in-all, the J+Booster 2 is an excellent charger for home and travel!

Wonderful, high quality product

I'm completely impressed with the quality of this item. All of the components are solid and well made. It comes in it's own zippered carrying case so it's perfect for travel. It also includes a sturdy metal wall mount. For our Model 3 Tesla, when using a NEMA 14-50 outlet and the Tesla adapter the max charge rate is 32 amps but with this J+ EV charger I was able to charge at 40 amps.

A real time and gas saver

I have a plug-in Hybrid vehicle. I used the dealer supplied 120 volt charger to recharge at a rate of 12 hours to get it fully charged. The 45 available miles offered equal about the equivalent of 95 MPG. Many times I would use up the 45 mile range as I arrived home and later need to go out on another errand. This put the vehicle in hybrid mode at about 40 mpg. This was not taking advantage of the plug in aspect of my vehicle. With this level 2 charger I can recharge in just 2 1/2 hours and get another 45 miles of electric range. With simple planning I have cut my gas use to just under 1 gallon per week. The electric for charging is about $1.80 per charge and it is equal to 2 gallons of gas range on my old vehicle. That's like getting gas for $.90 /gallon. This J+ booster charger is an excellent unit. You just order it with the plug that fits your receptacle then plug it in to a (220v plug) the amps depending on your vehicle chargers needs. I need a 40 amp circuit to draw 32 amps but I used used a 50 amp circuit even though I am drawing 32 amps for future need. After plugging it in it goes through automated system check then you select the amps you need and plug it into your vehicle. It is as easy as that. It worked fine with my vehicle and my gas usage is down considerably. I highly recommend this excellent charger.
