bought because it says genuine Whirlpool part, not some OEM without quality control It works as expected. The assembly however is without any instruction or diagram. It is OK for someone familiar with electric appliances, but can be a big challenge for those who aren't. So, be careful. But it is worth the money, compared to 2nd party OEMs on Amazon. There are two sets of cables to retrofit to 2 previous versions of ice makers of Whirlpool WRX735SDBM00. One has an extra grounding terminal on the water solenoid valve, the other (perhaps more advanced design), doesn't need it. For this version, the ice-bin motor must be removed (a minor hassle) to access the terminal. The old cable can be mutilated to be removed, but it's better off to be removed intact so that no accidental damages of various slots and holes of the plastic frame designed to hold the cable in place, which is critical to fit the ice-make assembly back into the ice making compartment. There were a few useful youtube videos showing how to remove the assembly. But I found none showing this particular kit. It can easily take over 30 minutes because of the cable.
