Her first equity show was The New York Shakespeare Festival's 'The Pirates of Penzance' at the Los Angeles Music Center. 'CATS' (Grisabella) and 'Les Miserables' (Cossette and Fantine) as well as the 1st and 2nd National Tours of these companies and Broadway and Los Angeles productions followed. Janene's first album, 'This Moment' was also created with Christopher Marlowe and Scott Barnes. Together they recorded with Academy, Grammy and Emmy Award musical talent, and included masterpieces that cross over classical, art song, music theater and American standards. Don Grigware from broadwayworld.com writes, 'To say that Lovullo is a consummate singer is an understatement. She has an astounding range with a delivery that would make many singers envious. She can be as dynamic as she wants to be, but will also lower her instrument to almost a whisper. For me, this is the mark of an exceptional artist who is first and foremost into telling the story of every tune she sings'.
