I purchased this bed for my teenage son of 14. I wanted something simple but still nice for a growing teen. It's a good sturdy bed it's not heavy and it's lightweight so the metal may not be suitable for children who jump and are rough with furniture. Also the head board is like a leather feel to it but it's not. It was perfect for my growing son, all he does is sleep on it when it's time for bed and he games and goes outside to play football so it was perfect for him and while on a budget!
