A booster pump is a device that increases the pressure of a fluid. They may be used with liquids or gases, and the construction will vary depending on the fluid. A gas booster is similar to a gas compressor, but generally a simpler mechanism which often has only a single stage of compression, and is used to increase pressure of a gas already above ambient pressure.

Motors are used in all kinds of restaurant equipment to power beaters, blenders, slicers, basket lifts, filters, fans and much more. A motor converts one form of energy into mechanical energy. Electric motors convert electrical energy into mechanical motion, pneumatic motors use compressed air. General-purpose motor designs with standard dimensions and characteristics provide convenient mechanical power for foodservice equipment once customized to the exact OEM specifications (RPM, torque, magnet dimension, winding, etc.).

A tank, receptacle, bowl, or chamber is a reservoir. They may be used to store liquid or solid ingredients or may serve as a waste container. In restaurant equipment, examples of reservoirs may be seen in ice machines, beverage equipment, coffee machines, condiment dispensers, dish washing equipment, waste handling equipment, and many more.
