I originally got these in a half size larger than usual , not sure why, and wore them to an event without trying them on first. The shoe was a little long, but not noticeably so. I had to cinch up the strap to keep them on and they became uncomfortably tight. There is quite a bit of space between the holes on the strap. Since they went on sale and were attractive on my foot, I bought another pair in my true size 8. I haven't tried them on yet, but I definitely will before wearing them outside the house.,
