I haven't tried to jump start feature so I don't have an opinion on that. I have used the fan quite a few times and I must say that it drains the battery very quickly. the output of the fan is pretty decent but I don't really have anything to compare it to you. I got this on sale for 20 bucks and still feel like I kind of paid a few dollars too much but, I'm not totally dissatisfied. I think I just expected a little more out of the fan feature.
