stick with the oem

I bought an aftermarket replacement at a name brand auto parts store and had nothing but issues. Poor old Taurus thought she a Nascar racer. Would not idle with a/c on. Would run at 45 mph with a/c on without giving it gas pedal. Bought the motorcraft ford replacement and haven't had an issue since. Works like it's supposed to.
