This product is generally used up to 4 times a day, usually one in the morning and one in the evening, and after each bowel movement or as directed by your doctor. Unwrap the suppository and moisten it with a few drops of water to soften it. Lie on your left side with the right knee bent. Hold buttocks together for five seconds. For best results from the suppository, remain lying down for five minutes to avoid having the suppository come out.
The suppository will melt quickly once inserted and you should feel little or no discomfort while holding it in. Do not use this product more than once daily unless otherwise directed by your doctor. If this product is used too frequently, it may cause a loss of normal bowel function and an inability to have a bowel movement without using the product (laxative dependence).
