12V 6AH GEL Battery for Honda 50 NPS50 Ruckus 2003-2014

Alot of honda Ruckuses will never crack 2000 miles . They sit alot. I own 4 of them and even though i try to make sure each gets some exercise they still sit. Colder climate bikes sit the most. I replaced 3 or 4 lead acid batteries before finally getting frusterated. The 2 biggest terminal afflictions for a lead acid battery is sitting, and bouncing around. Both of these issues a ruckus has aplenty. I have purchased a few of these little mighty max batteries and I have to say, for the cost they are an excellent buy. I have had one in my 11 Ruckus for a few years now. It has always cranked right up after sitting all Michigan Winter ( which seems like 11 months any more) without a battery tender installed. The job is not difficult. If you can turn a philips screwdriver you can change this battery. It does fit just a tad looser side to side. It doesnt move at all but as a precaution I cut a piece of high density closed cell foam and placed it between the hold down bracket and the battery. You dont have to do this but I would recommend it. Bottom line is this little guy is half the price of the auto parts stores…or even Walmart for that matter. Its one of the first additions I make to a new bike. They seem to work great, have plenty of cranking power and so far…last awhile. Just make sure its fully charged before storage or use a 2a battery tender and you will be fine. Or if you are feeling froggy you can just remove it and plop it on the nightstand next to your bed. To remind you its winter time…and winter sucks for riding a ruckus!
