I got my Joe from an auction and the deflector plates were broken so I ordered them a few months afterwards and they have made a tremendous difference for the better. The temperature maintains better. Having the option for indirect cooking offers better results for some foods that may require more subtle cooking.

The only parts I received were the divide and concur system. It did NOT arrive with the metal surround you see in the photograph. Otherwise the ceramic pieces fit perfectly in my Kamado Joe Classic.
