The asus scar 17 is a powerful laptop that replaces my desktop pc whenever i go. When i got this laptop i was amazed by its bright rgb lights in the bottom of the bezel, led bar, and keyboard. Prior to this laptop i had the gigabyte aero 15x from 2017 and own that model since that day until January when i received the scar. I was totally hooked on the design. However it isnt perfect, since the plastic section of the keyboard attracts so many fingerprints. I also feel they could have imporved the design better since there is so much potential be because of its structure. I did feel like they could have improve on liggting on the transparent section of the keyboard to spread light. Another flaw i need to mention is the aura creator softwar to customize lighting; its ugly because when i apply my liggting preferences the lights turn off for a few 4 seconds and the turn back on again. This is because the lighting options on the aura creator are timed and customed based on how long the effect is applied until it reaches its end, which causes the lights to go out and turn on again because its looping. Other flaws in the scar 17 are the quality of life in its internal parts. Just about 5 days ago the battery of my scar 17 is dead, and portability is something i need. Right now my scar is holding power through the power adapter. And second, the part of the left led bar had significant decrease of brightness than the roght side. I took a look inside and the left led board is dead. I own the scar 17 2021 with rtx 3080 and its not a dissapountment. The laptop is bright in its rgb lighting that its eye catching to people and i love that. Its also a very powerful laptop and it wont be dissapounting on its performance. You can get any work done with the scar. But because its awesome it doesnt mean your suceptible to problems. Quality of the product need improvements. But otherwise amazing laptop.
