It was easy to install. So far, it seems to be working fine. It is catching lint that makes it past the dryer. The trap is easy to see the amount of lint on it (should be with a clear front) and easy to remove to clean.

Great product - prep before you buy

Note that this lint trap is an EXACT fit with a 4" vent pipe. That will present a challenge if your piping is smooth metal and not corrugated or otherwise flexible. (See the package photo.) I was fortunate to have extra-long corrugated piping behind my dryer. It allowed me to easily fit something workable into the trap opening after I cut away a section of the solid vent pipe. Note that you'll need to buy 4 screws to fasten the vent to the wall. I assume they're not included because the manufacturer can't know whether you're attaching the vent to masonry (as I was) or to some other surface like drywall or wood paneling. As for the lint trap, it works GREAT. It captured lint in my first dryer load as well as some old lint that had been down in the corrugated piping.
