Great Book! Applies to times today and the past.

It is very detailed, in depth and I would recommend to friends. It applies to history in the past and to today. I felt the price of the book from Walmart was very reasonable. I received it quicker by Christmas by having it shipped to me verses going to pick it up. Shipping was just a little over $1.00. Can't beat that. Would have cost me more in gas to pick up. Great deal Walmart!

Wonderful Book

Dr. Friedman, CEO of STRATFOR, does a phenomenal job in outlining the past, present and future of the world and the United States under the current geo-politcal landscape. Dr. Friedman's expertise on the international system and its many facets is evident from the beginning all the way to the last page. The book covers issues such as a rising Russia, a descending China on the verge of fragmentation and future power blocks such as Japan, Turkey, and Poland! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a positive perspective of a future world. All we see and hear is doom and gloom today regarding the U.S. and the current state of the world economic system. Dr. Friedman shines some light onto this and explains why most economists and future planners are flat wrong when it comes to the future state of the world and the United States hegemony.
