I use my wood stove 24 hours per day during the cold weather. This holds 5-6 days worth of wood early in the wood stove season. I believe it will be 5 even during the coldest New England Weather. This was very easy to assemble and came with all of the necessary parts. This is sturdy but lightweight. It is a nice brushed black color. I keep mine in my garage as it is convenient to where my wood stove is. This is very simple- brushed black finish. It is utilitarian in purpose but decent enough that you could keep it your living space if that would be more convenient. One end does bend a bit when I fill it to the top. As the wood gets used it goes back into place. It has some give but I don't think it would break easily. After it was assembled it was very easy to move where I wanted it.
