Restored KitchenAid 7 Cup Food Processor Plus, RKFP0719 (Refurbished)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried food processor on arrival and found that low drive was variable, as if a step down power device needed time to engage, however high speed and pulse did not have this wavering of motor power. Another issue was the uneven/tilted seating of the discs on the spindle so that they wobbled and made noise until they settled in; an obvious future wear point. Did not have these issues on prior KFP600 model which had similar design, but non stackable attachments. Also I am going back to click on lids, so that hinged lid can fit under cabinet and be on L side of counter. If you are R handed it is awkward to locate on left side because the hinge only swings to the right. Quality of closure hinge is debatable; seems like silver colored plastic not metal. I would have kept it if not for the motor variance issue yet the slicing was not precise, more mushy ends on celery, and apples had many small pieces rather than thick slices due to small size of feed tube. Given these limitations, It was a good value and upgrade from a simple food chopper, but I am going to purchase a higher quality machine or none
