EVS Sports Men's Tug Bottom - Impact 3/4 Pant (Black, Large)

I'm really in between on these...the base layer itself is great...I really like the fit and the material transition at the knee braces. They breath and move well and felt great on the bike. What I DON'T like is the padding itself and the way they lock in to the pant. The pads seem very flimsy and inadequate for the use and they pop out VERY EASILY. When I first put them on at the race morning one of the hip pads folded over...no big deal but not a great start. ...and when taking them off (the old little kid inside out drag off the legs move, which is a necessity post race when you're all dirty and sweaty) basically every pad in the pants literally fell out. I mean OUT of the pants...had to gather them back up and chuck them in the bag. So, for the base layer itself, they're great...but the padding, MEH. Pretty disappointed as the photos look really pretty robust in that regard. I'd not buy them again and am considering other options, tho I haven't given up on them completely yet. I think they're pretty overpriced for what they are.

Fit is great, but the protection in these pants is terrible. Don't count on this as "protection" because it's just a 5mm thin foam pad on the front of the hip area (not even on the side where you might land).
