Not just another holocaust story!

This movie REALLY took me by surprise. I have never read the book, only knew that Kate Winslet won Best Actress for this role so I rented it and was blown away by the engaging story and her performance! You will end up having mixed emotions about how you feel about Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslet) by the end so much that you ask yourself "What would I have done if I were Michael Berg"? After renting I bought it from Wal Mart and have watched it again. This movie is part of my timeless classic collection now! Highly recommend this Blu Ray purchase!

Excellent film.

This is an excellent film and not the story line I expected at all from the title. Very griping and keeps you involved completely for the entire show. This is NOT a chick flick, the story line takes a lot of turns. My husband was just as enthralled in watching it as I was. A must see!
