My dog only eats a bowl at night, she won't eat twice daily- but that's fine. I've only used this food for my dog, it's a bit expensive and more so since Covid started. Used to be 45-50. Now $70. But- it lasts so long! It's high protein so my pit bull ?mix doesn't need a whole lot. It makes her very thirsty for water. I keep a bowl in the kitchen and another upstairs in bedroom. Always keep a full bowl of water around. I'd recommend feeding in the afternoon or evening, because it does make dogs thirsty and then they have to pee. I will mix chicken, sometimes drained ground beef or sprinkle of cheese into the food. She's not crazy about the crunchy blueberry bits. Sometimes spits them out on the floor. But a bag lasts about 5 months. When she's more active, she will eat an extra scoop. Pit bulls love to run and chew and play all the time. I used to feed my previous dog purina, her poops were not consistent though. After my old dog passed, and I finally got my new rescue baby, I heard from a coworker that she only used Blue. Good fur and happy doggy. So we tried it from the beginning and Leia is happy and healthy.
