I wasn't expecting much for the price, but the picture makes it look much nicer than it really is. It doesn't even look like an opal, just kind of multi-color sparkly. I fully expect the metal to start discoloring quickly as well, but it was the item my teenage son wanted for his g/f for Valentine's Day, so we ordered it.
