I loved them the second i opened the box. the colors can be looked at as a wood color but as far as faux wood i think its a matter of opinion. they are a dark tan color or woodish or faux wood. I think they look tan. After hanging these easy to install blinds I loved them more. i get so many compliments and I do highly recommend these blinds in particular to anyone who compliments them. easy installation and a big transformstion to my parlor. pssstt.. I bought the white for my bedroom after buying the wood color. shipping was on point and packed extremely well. I highly recommend this brand 5 stars all around
