We just finished a screened in porch and wanted a gas fire pit to extend the season. Everything we saw at a reasonable price was 28 - 30", too small for the scale of the room. Plus, we wanted to also use it to eat with the fire for warmth and ambiance. So, this 42" was perfect. Assembly took about a couple of hours to complete. The blue glass stones were an added bonus.
