Suprisingly wow

I am a big fan of the horrorfest franchise and this latest installment has not yet disappointed me. I have purchased 3 of the 8 so far and this one in particular I rented as a lark ... all I can say is wow. The storyline moves at a particularly adequate rate but when the climax hits, it left me on the edge of my seat and I'm not over exaggerating when I say i got a lil reaquainted with mortality. Both actresses do an amazing job drawing you in emotionally and even psychologicly. If you want a suggestion to kick off this collection of movies ... I do suggest Slaughter or From Within. Check it out ... You won't regret it.

SLAUGHTER

This movie started off slow, but got more action packed toward the last half hour. The ending is a bit of a shocker.

Could Have Been Better

Being a huge fan of horror, I love the After Dark Horrorfest Series. I have most of the ones that are already out. I bought SLAUGHTER just a week ago, and while it was good, it feel short of my expectations. It reminded me very much of The Strangers. Both had the same scenario, much the same plot--and both even boasted of being inspired by actual events. SLAUGHTER was good, but almost predictable. If you like like the Horrorfest line, I'd like to suggest UNREST, THE GRAVEDANCERS, and THE BROKEN as tops so far in this series. There are many other good ones, but I wouldn't rate SLAUGHTER as a top pick.
