Best Frozen Pierogies
For a frozen,not fresh product, these are great! Quick to cook when thawed, and much better outcome for the way we cook them. I'm surprised at all the reviews saying to boil these. I know that's traditional prep, but potato-stuffed pasta is awful (no, I don't like gnocchi, either, nor any food that has pasta and potatp in the same dish99]). We do a slow pan simmer in butter until golden brown and lightly crispy. Perfection! If we're feeling fancy we add shredded cheese, bacon, and chives or green onion.

Mrs. T's pierogies
These are decent frozen pierogies. No, they don't taste like homemade, but are the best frozen pierogies name brand out there. You can sauté them slowly for a more traditional taste, but I prefer to bake them using cooking spray on both sides, which is an option on the package. They kind off puff up baked this way, which may not be traditional, but they're great finger food dipped in sour cream baked this way. The mashed potato and cheddar cheese flavor is very good and I appreciate real mashed potatoes.

These are just nommy, but you have to make them right. So for 8-10 peices- Drop them into boiling water while still frozen for 3 minutes and remove. in a saute pan put 3 tablespoons of butter, (not margerine) 3 chopped garlic cloves, chopped onion if desired. on medium heat saute untill you can smell the garlic. turn your heat up to medium high and toss in your perogis. About 2 minutes on each side or untill slightly browned. remove and serve immediately.
