Good for a Cheap Backup

It works well, is heat resistant just like stated, One issue is the rivets holding the 2 pieces together are "Extremely" thin and flimsy. I doubt it will last 1/2 a year and I do an avg amount of canning. You should have a towel and grab the bottom of your jar as soon as you clear the water bath. I would hate for it to give way and drop 3 ft to the floor. I will be spending the extra money on a heavy duty "Ball" or other brand name in the future and hanging on to this as a "Cheap Backup". Secondly, The advert said 3 day Fed Ex but the 3rd party seller used USPS and it took a week.
