Quick setup. Push into ground. Plug in Christmas lights, and inflatables, plug into outside outlet, and turn in switch. There is a round push button. Press once for always on, or again for 2 hours only, or a again for 4 hours, or 1 more time for 6 hours. I made the mistake of only buying 1 the first time, and quickly bought more. At night, if I want to turn them off early...just the one on/off switch and everything is off. Very Happy with purchase! Well made!
